Women's Enrichment Ministry
is a ministry For Women, By Women. Our purpose is to encourage
women in spiritual growth, discipline, enrichment, ministry, and
evangelism. It is women reaching out to women with the love of God.
It builds on the Biblical Principles of women being gifted for
ministry and expands the perspective of women ministering uniquely
to women. Women's Enrichment
Ministry must be, and is centered on God's Word and our relationship
to God. Over time, women have always provided significant ministry
to the Body of Christ. For believers, ministry is not an option, but
a responsibility. |
The
Women of East Baptist Church have been meeting and praying about
this ministry opportunity since October of 1998. Some of the
ministries we are engaged in are the Shepherding Ministry that
reaches out to new women in our church; the Barnabus Basket Ministry
to minister to the shut-ins from around our church, whether temporary
or permanent. We offer Prayer Circles to pray for our members who
request it, and mission offerings three times a year. We hand-out Gift
Bags for our Women Visitors and New Mothers. We hold a Bible Study
on Sunday Evenings, and are constantly planning new projects all
year long.
If you have any questions about any of our activities please ask one
of our Women's Enrichment Ministry Council Members or call the
office at 903-465-5502.

The Women's Bible Study
is studying the Book of Daniel from 5:30P - 6:30P on Sundays. This unique
Video Study is written in (2) parts, reflecting the contents of the
Book of Daniel. The 1st portion (Daniel 1-6) deals with the life of
the prophet Daniel and is written in a contemporary tone showing
that Daniel faced pressures and temptations similar to those of a
Christian in today's world. The second half will detail history from
the time of Daniel through the inter-biblical period, the time of
Christ, and onward to the 2nd Coming of Christ. The entire
study is expected to take about 6 months. |
